Annual Wine Expo In Moncton Postponed To 2021

COVID-19 is putting a damper on the 30th anniversary of Canada’s second oldest wine event anniversary this year.

The event that was originally planned for November of this year has been postponed until January 29 and 30, 2021 at the Moncton Coliseum.

“It’s not just about being allowed to have the event, we need to ensure the safety of the attendees above all else” says Chairman Bill Vance.

Vance realizes that if the event doesn’t happen then, then organizers may have to miss a year and return with a full featured Wine Expo in November 2021.

He says in an effort to ensure wine lovers do not forget about the Wine Expo, his team is looking into hosting several web-based wine tastings and seminars to enjoy at home.

“We’ve participated in a few of these and they can definitely be fun” says Vance,

These online events will be scheduled for early November, when the Wine Expo for 2020 would have been held.

Vance, notes that this may also help to introduce the Wine Expo to other parts of New Brunswick and the Maritimes.
