The Vitalite Health Network is asking it’s workers, patients and visitors to wear a face mask.
A release states the decision is in response to emerging evidence suggesting asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic, or minimally symptomatic individuals can transmit COVID-19.
Healthcare workers must wear a surgical or procedure mask continually in their workplace when a physical distance of two metres cannot be maintained.
Ambulatory care and emergency department patients, as well as visitors, must also wear a medical mask is all Vitalite facilities.
The health network says masks will be provided upon entry.
