Cap-Pele Man Dies In Highway Crash

A 28-year-old man from Cap-Pele is dead after a crash between a motorcycle and the cab of a transport truck on Highway 2 in Moncton.

RCMP say the crash happened at around 8:30 last night in the westbound lanes between the Mapleton and Gorge Road exits.

Sergeant Patrick Tardif says it’s believed the motorcycle collided with the back of the truck cab.

Speed is also believed to have been a factor.

The westbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours while police investigated.
