Another Snow Day For Students In Parts Of Province

It’s another day off for students due to weather.

Schools in Anglophone East, and Anglophone North are closed today. Francophone South schools are also closed with the exception of Saint John and Quispamsis.

Most of the province is under a special weather statement with Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick forecast to get snow, freezing rain and ice pellets today.

The snow fell overnight and is making some roadways slick, but we’re expected to see some freezing rain and ice pellets throughout the morning before turning to rain this afternoon.

And we could see even more freezing rain and snow tomorrow morning.

To the north, Environment Canada is forecasting up to 15 centimetres of snow. For the central parts of the province, up to 10 centimetres.

Southern parts of the province are only expected to get five centimetres of snow.
