Teams are needed for this year’s Fun Curling Bonspiel.
Organizer Wray Dunn says this is the third year for the tournament that raises money for the Heart and Strike Foundation, “This is a Funspiel Tournament is what I call it. We have a lot of fun things that for that night and anyone who has ever been interested in trying out the game of curling, this is a great opportunity to come out and give it a try.”
Dunn is also a football referee. He says donating to this cause is important, because they’ve lost two officials in the past three years, due to heart and stroke issues.
“Our team last year raised just over $30,000 and the year before that it came in just over $18, 000. Our goal this year is to raise $35,000.”
Whether you are entering as a team of four or if you are a single looking for a team Dunn says they we will have a spot open for you.
The event will be held March 21st, at Curl Moncton, with registration starting at 6 o’clock.
