Zoo Hosts Special Sunday Winter Openings

The Magnetic Hill Zoo will be open from 11 to 3 on Sundays all month long.

Ahead of the official opening, visitors are invited to come check out some of the zoo’s ‘winter hardy’ animals.

Zoo director Jill Marvin says so far it’s been nice and visitors are enjoying the Sunday Winter Openings.

She says some of the animals you’ll get to see include Peccaries, caribou, jaguars, horses, tigers, alpacas, otters, goats, donkeys and lions.

There will be some local maple products for sale and you’ll also get to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies!

The openings are hosted by the Friends of the Zoo, a volunteer organization that seeks to raise funds to better the animal enclosures.
