NBHC Looking For Input About Primary Health Services

The New Brunswick Health Council is helping to evaluate primary health services in the province.

CEO Stephane Robichaud says residents are being contacted on their home and cell phones to complete a survey.

“This survey here is about primary health services, which is essentially your first points of contact with the health system. If you’re not feeling well, you may go see your family doctor, go to an after hours clinic, see a nurse practitioner or go to the ER for example.”

They are currently focusing on Zone 1, which is residents in Greater Moncton, and the Restigouche area as well.

Their hope is to get responses to over 14, 000 thousand surveys.

“This is a very legitimate exercise. It is information that is being used to improve public policy and to improve health services and to better inform those who are responsible for planning of realities in each of our communities,” Robichaud says.

Surveys take between 20 and 40 minutes to complete
