You’ll have some digging out to do tomorrow morning.
Snowfall warnings were issued this morning for parts of the province.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Mercer says this system is bringing up to 20 centimetres to the region.
“There is this nearly stationary trough of pressure that is just East of Moncton. It is basically just producing some snowfall, not so much inland but probably higher along the Coast.”
Mercer says it could come down heavy at some points throughout the day, but high winds aren’t expected to be a major concern.
“It is expected for Eastern regions. It might go as far north as Miramichi, but basically we’re looking at Kent County and Moncton, Kouchibouguac and Bouctouche, Cape Tormentine,” Mercer says.
The snow is expected to continue falling throughout the day and then wrap up overnight.
If you have travel plans today, be prepared for snow covered roads and slippery conditions.
