Two men from Moncton are facing charges following a drug seizure at a traffic stop near Berry Mills..
On Wednesday evening, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Route 11, in connection with a drug investigation that began last January.
During the search, police seized a large quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and two men were arrested.
A 25-year old was held in custody and a 23-year-old man was released and is scheduled to appear in court in May.
Yesterday, Alain Simplice Bweso appeared in Moncton Provincial Court, and was charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He is in custody and scheduled to return to court on February 24th for a bail hearing.
Lincoln Antonio Bishop is facing the same charge and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on May 26th.
The investigation is ongoing.
