Residents in Ward 3, will have two familiar names on the upcoming municipal ballot.
The two current city councillors, have announced they will run again.
If re-elected, this will be Bryan Butler’s second term on Council.
He says he will be funding his own campaign and will not be taking outside donations.
Butler’s plan for a second term, includes putting together a more aggressive recreation plan for the Ward…He will also push for stronger accountability measures.
Brian Hicks is also throwing his hat back in to be re-elected in ward 3.
He was first elected in 1999, then five more times after that.
Hicks says in the spirit of the 2018 Code of Ethics and Conduct passed by Moncton City Council, he will not accept contributions towards his campaign.
His hope is to serve for another term, to encourage more open and transparent City Hall meetings and also push for fiscally, responsible spending.
