Thousands Of NB Power Resident Lose Power Overnight

Thousands in an area from Miramichi to Moncton woke up with their clocks flashing this morning.

NB Power Spokesperson Marc Belliveau says a failure on a transformer knocked out power to over 8600.

The lights were out from for almost two hours starting just before 1am.

Belliveau says the power came back on just before 2:30 this morning.
