Visits have been temporarily suspended to the Oncology Unit at the Georges Dumont Hospital.
Vitalité Health Network says cases of influenza are affecting some patients and staff in Unit 4-D.
The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
Health officials say some are more susceptible to the influenza virus than others including small children, pregnant women, seniors and those who have compromised immune systems.
