Attempted Murder Sends Bas-Caraquet Man To Prison For Ten Years

A 50-year-old man from Bas-Caraquet will spend the next 10 years in prison for attempted murder.

David Chaisson was sentenced this week.

He was arrested in April last year outside a home in Bas-Caraquet. Inside, RCMP found a 45-year- old woman who had been stabbed.

She suffered serious, but non life threatening injuries.

Chiasson pleaded guilty to the attempted murder charge in July.
