If you’re still wanting to make a donation to the less fortunate this Christmas season, the shelters are always in need.
Executive Director for the newest homeless shelter on Albert Street Jean Dube says there are several items they are in need of, “We certainly need clothing, jackets, boots, socks, hats and mittens.”
They also accept food, coffee gift cards and even bus passes.
Founder of the Humanity Project says things like rice, pasta, and vegetables are used year round, but for the colder weather, they also receive longjohns, hand warmers, underwear, and gloves.
Several organizations are in need including House of Nazareth, Harvest House Atlantic and the Humanity Project.
YMCA Reconnect also accepts donations to distribute to the homeless.
