UPDATE: Fatal Crash On Albert Mines Road

A teenager has died and three other teens have been injured in a single vehicle crash on Albert Mines Road in Edgetts Landing.

Around 9 o’clock Wednesday night, RCMP believe the 17-year-old male driver from Salem lost control of the vehicle and he died at the scene.

The three passengers were taken to hospital.

A 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were treated with minor injuries and later released.

A 16-year-old girl remains in hospital with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties say speed and road conditions are believed to have been contributing factors.

Hillsborough Fire Chief Glen Northrup noted that roads were slippery at the time.
