UPDATE: Power Outage Forces Riverview School To Close Early

Students at Riverview East School are getting the afternoon off, as a result of a power outage.

Almost 2000 NB Power customers in the Hillsborough, Lower Coverdale, Pine Glen, Riverview, Stoney Creek regions were without power for a couple of hours earlier today.

An NB Power spokesperson Marc Belliveau says the lights went out at around 10am this morning.

As of 12:15, they were still trying to find the cause.

Belliveau says they have switched most customers over to other lines.
