Section Of Hwy 126 To Reopen

A stretch of Highway 126 just north of Moncton is finally expected to reopen to traffic this weekend after being closed for more than two months.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says November 30 is still the target date for reopening.

The stretch between Briggs Cross Road and Indian Mountain Road was closed in mid-September after heavy rain from Hurricane Dorian washed out a culvert.

Drivers have been forced to take a lengthy detour around that section as a result.
