Moncton Budget Deliberations To Be Held Next Week

Details of the proposed budgets for 2020 were revealed last night at Moncton City Council.

There are no anticipated tax hikes in the general operating budget which sits at almost $162 million.

Property assessment values for next year will increase 2.5 per cent.

The average homeowner will see an increase of $8 per year on their water bill, the average sized small business, a $6 increase.

The utilities operating budget is just over $40 million.

Deliberations will be held from November 13 to 15th.
