Just time in for the spooky season, From Robert Eggers, the Director behind 2015’s horror-hit ‘The Witch’, comes this hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers, played by Willem Dafoe & Robert Pattinson, on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890’s. Filming took place in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada at Leif Ericson Park in Cape Forchu, and inside a hangar at Yarmouth International Airport, in Yarmouth.[8][9] Editor Louise Ford revealed that the film was shot on black and white 35mm film, giving the film it’s eerie, claustrophobic vibe.
