Liberal Alaina Lockhart Defeated In Riding Of Fundy Royal

After one term as the Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, Liberal Alaina Lockhart is leaving Ottawa.

Conservative Rob Moore was re-elected, after losing to Lockhart in 2015.

In a post on her Facebook this morning, Lockhart congratulated Moore on his election.

She says, “Thank you to the people of Fundy Royal for the honour and privilege of representing you these past four years. I’m proud to be the first woman ever elected in this riding and of everything we’ve accomplished, together. I’m forever grateful for everyone who voted for me, my team, volunteers, supporters and most of all, my family, who made this amazing experience possible.”
