Increase In Noise Expected With Low Level Aircraft Training Exercise At Gagetown

An advisory from the Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces in New Brunswick.

Next week, occasional low level flying operational training activities will be held by military members at CFB Gagetown.

Residents in the Sussex, Harvey Station and Welsford areas may notice an increase in noise levels.

It is important to note that cloud cover can increase the intensity of noise. On clear days, sound waves travel through the atmosphere and eventually dissipate, but on a cloudy day, sound waves can reflect of clouds, which can lead to an increase in noise levels.

Training will last from September 23rd to October 1st.
