RCMP believe speed and alcohol were factors in a fatal single-vehicle crash in the Edmundston area.
A 62-year-old man from Rivière-Verte died after a vehicle left the road and hit a tree near that community on Saturday (September 14) around 9pm.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle and he died from his injuries at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing but Mounties also say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
