Moncton, Riverview And Dieppe Updates Post-Tropical Storm Dorian

The City of Moncton and Town of Riverview have provided a post-Dorian update.

Crowley Farm Road at Morton Avenue is closed as a result of flooding and there is also localized flooding on English Dr., Elmwood Drive below Lewisville Road, Fairlane Drive, and Massey Avenue east of Elmwood Drive.

The pond at Centennial Park has also flooded.

In Riverview, there is damage as a result of downed trees, but they are not reporting any injuries or storm related basement flooding.

The City of Moncton is also reporting that seven basements had reported flooding as of yesterday…but no new reports have been received as of midnight.

Many traffic lights at intersections are still without power. A reminder that these intersections should be treated as four way stops..

Codiac Transpo has delayed the start of its regular day due to power outages.

Both House of Nazareth and Harvest House remain open and have capacity to welcome any individuals needing shelter.

To report any downed tree or limb on public property, please call the Dispatch line.

If you are using a generator for backup power, a reminder, that they should be used in a well-ventilated area outdoor area at least 5 feet away from all doors, windows and vent openings.

Turn off generators and let them cool down before refuelling. Never refuel a generator while it is hot.

Also a note from the community of Salisbury, Bleakney Road is washed out at the creek and is not passable.

A full list of closures and facilities where you can take showers or charge electronics, can be found HERE
