Kevin Fraser Inc has outbid Alyes Landscaping for a private contract with the city for tree planting.
This fall, variety of trees will be supplied, delivered, installed, and maintained in an number of areas within the city.
The city says they recognize the benefits of important natural assets, and is committed to enhancing the city’s urban forest.
The Municipal Plan policy states that the City shall continue to identify opportunities to increase the number of trees through the subdivision and development process.
Total cost of the project is estimated at about 180 thousand dollars.
