Hundreds of people ran, walked, and rocked out for a good cause at the first Atlantique Rock Run.
More than 28 thousand dollars were raised during the new annual fundraiser.
All funds raised go to Crossroads for Women to provide safe housing for women and children living with domestic violence.
Event co-chair Marc Landry says its also a way to show women and children living with domestic violence that there is hope, and that their community stands behind them.
The inaugural event was a success thanks to the more than 30 devoted volunteers.
