On Saturday morning, the trucking community will come together to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast, lung, prostate and colorectal cancer.
Up to 100 decorated transport trucks, will hold their 10th annual Convoy for Hope.
Co-Chair Jo-Anne Phillips says they will leave the Salisbury Big Stop on Saturday, make their way into downtown Moncton, and then make their way to the final stop at the Moncton Coliseum, “We’re going to take up a lot of space on the roads, so we are leaving between 11am and noon, that we will be travelling. If you can just pull over, and celebrate, honk the horn and wave at us as we come by.”

Phillips says they are asking motorists to be patient, because that many trucks will take up a lot of space.
The Convoy for hope was an initiative started by female truckers, who were raising awareness in the fight against breast cancer, but it has now grown to include all truckers, and there are seven held across the country.
Some of truckers are participating in honour or memory of friends or family who have battled cancer, or who have lost their fight.
The Atlantic convoy is one of the longest standing.
In the ten years of the event, over $340, 000 has been raised to help in the fight against breast, lung, prostate and colorectal cancer.
