Outdoor Pools To Beat The Heat

You may be seeking a way to cool off today.

The heat warning remains in effect, with highs of 31 degrees for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick. The Humidex will make it feel like it’s around 39 degrees.

Hundreds have already flocked to the east end pool since its grand opening on July 20th. It is now offering extended hours, opening from 10am until 7pm, instead of opening at 11am

Lap swims have also been added on Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7 to 9am, and a seniors only swim will also be offered every Friday from 8am until 10am.

Meantime, there is still and opportunity to take a dip at the Lion Ken Gabbey Community pool in Riverview, , before it closes on August 6th, to begin upgrades.

It is expected to reopen in June of 2020.
