With the final week in June being a wet one, we’re sure you’re wondering what to do on a rainy day with the kids. Try these ideas with your children!
SING AND DANCE
Just like Gene Kelly said: “I’m singing in the rain, I’m singing in the rain! What a glorious feeling I’m happy again!” Don’t forget the umbrella!
MAKE MUD PIES
We did this growing up as kids all of the time! With the rain, the soil and earth gets nice and soft. Making it easy for your kids to dig that mud! Oh don’t forget to garnish those pies with flowers, sticks, and leaves. Oh and also don’t forget to tell the kids..DO NOT EAT THESE PIES!
MAKE RAIN ART
This one is easy! Draw and color on paper with washable markers and set them out in the rain and watch!
JUMP IN PUDDLES
There is a reason Pepa Pig and her family love puddles (muddy puddles at that) Besides that fact they are pigs, it’s a blast to channel your inner child and make a mess. We suggest saving this activity for last, as it’s going to get messy! lol
