New North End School Staff Ready To Welcome Students

Moncton’s new north end school won’t be ready in time to accommodate students by the start of classes but staff is ready for when it will be.

Elizabeth Nowlan is the school’s principal. She says despite the delayed opening, they have already hired on all their staff and have started planning for when they can welcome students.

“We’re going to have what we’re calling an exciting fall, we know we’re not going to be together under one roof so we have our plan in place for where students will be housed in the fall,” says Nowlan.

Students will be divided between two other schools in the fall, until theirs is ready later this school year.

Nowlan is very excited to take on her new role and has already been spending 80 per cent of her time at the school preparing.
