Boil Water Advisory Ended For Salisbury Road Area

The City of Moncton wishes to advise that the precautionary boil water advisory that was in place in the Salisbury Road area, from Olympic Crescent to civic 1539 Salisbury Road (east to west) and the end of Sycamore Drive to the end of Bradley Street (north to south) has been rescinded effective immediately.

Two consecutive water tests have come back negative and reveal no contamination of the water supply.

The provincial Department of Health has authorized the City of Moncton to lift the boil order advisory.

What should you do?

  • If you have been home over the past few days, you have been using the tap water for activities like washing dishes and laundry. You do not need to do anything else, as these activities would have brought fresh water into your plumbing system.

  • If you have been away, take a few minutes to flush out the water in your plumbing. This can be done by simply turning on each of the taps in your house for a few minutes. This will remove water that has been sitting in your pipes while you were away and will draw fresh water into your home.
