Hiring Underway For Sunsplash Program At Centennial Beach And East End Pool

There’s no word yet on when Centennial Beach and the East End Pool will open, but hiring is already underway.

The Codiac Vikings Aquatic Club and Club Natation Bleu et Or will be looking after the facilities.

CVAC President Jocelyn Keech says they are currently taking applications, “We’re looking to hire around 25 to 30 lifeguards, as many National Lifeguarding Society Lifeguards as possible. We will also be hiring some Bronze Cross as well.”

Starting date for the employees is July 1st.

“They’ll be working until the end of August or the first weekend of September. We usually close the weekend before Labour Day,” Keech says.

They are currently also hiring cashiers as well, “They are also usually Bronze Cross certified. They can also get experience doing some Lifeguarding. There are also cleaning duties. They are responsible for taking care of the facilities and doing basic maintenance,” Keech adds.

Keech says the Codiac Vikings managed the previous Centennial Beach facility, and they have a one year agreement with the city, along with CNBO.
