Preparations are underway for the next TEDx event in Moncton. For the first time ever, the focus will be youth.
Chair for the TEDx Moncton Youth Committee Trisha Daley says they are currently searching for youth speakers who have an innovative or original idea, “We’re really looking for them to be inspired by their own power. Recognizing that they are the next step in whatever it is, wherever our society and our world is going to go, they are it.”
The theme this year is Sustainable Lifestyles, “We chose that because we really want to hear what the youth have to say about where our future can go in a sustainable way.”
To apply, you should create a two minute video introducing yourself, and explain your idea.
“We have amazing things we can do and we have the power to enact the change in all the areas of our lives, not just in this area or that area, where we can change everything and we can help others do the same,”
TEDx Moncton will be held in early June.
