More Early Childhood Educators To Be Eligible For Wage Increase

The Education and Early Childhood Development Minister is expanding a wage increase for early childhood educators.

Last week Dominic Cardy announced a 75 cent wage increase for those who have completed a two year diploma program.

But educators spoke out, because that program was only recently made available in New Brunswick. Most Early Childhood Educators have completed the one year program and wouldn’t be entitled to the increase.

On Twitter yesterday, Cardy said he is very happy that government will soon announce that one year ECE certificate holders will now be eligible for the 75 cent per hour wage increase.
