Class Action Lawsuit Launched Involving Moncton Nurse

Two law firms will be representing mothers in a class action lawsuit against Horizon Health and a former nurse at the Moncton Hospital.

Dozens of women have come forward in a case involving the alleged non-consensual use of Oxytocin.

Nicole Ruest is accused of having administered the labour-inducing drug without consent.

Lawyers say the nurse has been active for over 10 years and assisted in hundreds of deliveries.

26-year-old Jayde Scott says she was forced to undergo an emergency c-section during the birth of her twins.

She hopes the lawsuit will uncover the nurse’s motive for the trauma she was put through.
