The federal Conservative leader will be in New Brunswick on Monday to talk about the carbon tax.
Andrew Scheer is expected to address media at a convenience store in St. George at 1:30 p.m.
A media advisory says he will discuss the impact of the carbon tax on New Brunswickers.
Scheer has said he will scrap the tax if the Conservatives are elected in the next federal election.
His visit comes less than a week after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a stop in St. Stephen to promote his government’s pre-election budget.

This is April Fool’s Day but it is no joke that the federal carbon tax is now being applied to fossil fuels in New Brunswick.
Prices at the pumps are up by 4.42 cents per litre plus HST; home heating oil is also up by the same amount.
Diesel and furnace oil have increased by 5.37 cents per litre plus tax while propane is up by 3.1 cents.
New Brunswick is the only Atlantic province which didn’t come up with its own carbon plan, which is why Ottawa is imposing its plan on the province.
The Higgs government is fighting the carbon tax in court along with Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
But the tax is still being applied during the ongoing legal battle.
