Boeing 737 MAX 8 Planes Grounded In Canada

All Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes are now being grounded in Canada.

Transport Minister Marc Garneau says they have reviewed evidence from the Ethiopian Airlines crash that has raised safety concerns.

Air Canada, Westjet and Sunwing all fly the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Garneau says inconclusive information from his experts show the satellite tracking data in the Ethiopia crash is similar to a crash in Indonesia last year.

The UK, European Union and several other countries had already banned the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft following the Ethiopian Airlines crash last Sunday which claimed 157 lives including 18 Canadians.
