Power Outage Leaves Hundreds Of Moncton Residents In The Dark

Over 230 residents in the northeast part of the city had to get ready for work in the dark this morning.

A resident in the area says a power pole caught fire at around 6:30am this morning.

Moncton Fire were on scene for a short period of time.

It’s believed that is what caused the outage.

NB Power says the pole needed to be changed, and crews were on scene for most of the morning.

Power was restored at around 10:45am.
