Weapons Complaint Prompts Heavy Police Response

TNo charges have been laid after Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a weapons call in Moncton on Saturday morning.

Police officers descended on High Street between Mountain Road and John Street shortly before 10:30 a.m.

Cpl. John White said they received a report about someone walking with a possible rifle.

White said a witness identified a house believed to be involved and officers arrested several people.

They also seized a BB gun at the scene, he said.

White could not say how many people were arrested but said they were all released without charges.
