Scheer Won’t Re-Criminalize Marijuana If Elected PM

The Federal Conservative Leader says if elected in October, he will not re-criminalize marijuana.

But Andrew Scheer would like to see more research and studies to look at the after effects of legalization.

Scheer says there are also Premiers who want to implement their own ways of dealing with cannabis but the Prime Minister hasn’t given them that option…

“I think with a fundamental change this significant the government should allow for different provincial governments to try different things as they manage the impacts of the new reality.”

Scheer says police do not have an accurate way of detecting impairment and Canadians have also told him they are disappointed with the legal minimum age of 18.
