Heater Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

A heater sold at Canadian Tire is being recalled due to a burn and fire hazard.

The Home Collections Round PTC Heater was sold between June 2016 and April 2018.

The concern is when the unit tips over, the switch may not function and the heater will stay on. That can cause it to overheat.

Around 15, 000 units were sold in Canada.

As of February 1st, the company has received one reported incident of the product catching fire. Luckily, no one was hurt.

The recalled products can be identified by UPC 814645020039 and model number 043-5105-0.
