Heavy Snow and Ice Pellets Expected For Midweek

New Brunswickers are preparing for another winter storm.

Environment Canada has issued winter storm warnings right across the province.

Meteorologist Roberta McArthur says this time around, they are calling for significant snow with total snowfall amounts up to 30 centimetres for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, along with blowing snow and ice pellets, “The heaviest amount will be between 7am and noon. After that there should be a switch over to ice pellets. Those ice pellets will likely continue until the evening hours on Wednesday.”

It is also expected to be difficult to see, due to wind gusts up to 70 kilometres an hour so travel should be avoided.

It’s advised you prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating conditions.
