Pedestrian Killed In Shediac Bridge

A 25-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle in southeastern New Brunswick.

Mounties say it happened on Route 11 in Shediac Bridge around 7 p.m. Friday.

Sgt. Alice DesRoches said the man was crossing the road while trying to return to his parked vehicle when he was hit.

DesRoches said the victim, who was from Elsipogtog First Nation, died at the scene.

Police said the driver of the car was not injured and their investigation is continuing.
