Freezing Rain Closes Schools Across NB

Freezing rain has closed schools across much of the province this morning.

Schools in Anglophone East, North, South and West are closed today, as well as Francophone South.

Codiac Transpo buses were pulled off the roads for about an hour because roads were too treacherous.

The light rain didn’t begin in the Moncton and Southeast region until around 5am this morning, but with temperatures still sitting below zero, it is already making a mess on roads and highways.

Slow down, and take your time if you are heading out this morning.

As the temperatures rises, the precipitation is expected to change to rain, that’s expected by noon today.
