PCs Remain Substantially Ahead Of Liberals In NB Poll

Premier Blaine Higgs and his PCs have gained support since taking power late last year, according to a new poll by Mainstreet Research.

The PCs are above 40 per cent support, having gained 6.5 points, mostly at the expense of the Liberals, who are now hovering at 27 per cent support.

The Greens and People’s Alliance both shed a little bit of support, but remain fairly steady at 15 and 12 per cent each.

Meanwhile, the NDP are sitting at just 4.5 per cent support, after losing a further 1.5 points.

The PCs are primarily supported by those between 35 and 64, while outside that age range, the Liberals are most popular.
