Strong Sewer Smell Reported In North End

If you live in the north end, you may have noticed a sewer like smell recently.

The City of Moncton is completing a sewer lining project near the Wheeler Boulevard westbound on-ramp and they have received reports of a strong smell in homes.

The smell is not a risk to public health or safety. The smell is due to a resin from the lining which is being installed in an existing sewer pipe.

Crews are aware of the situation and are working help alleviate the odour.
