Three Moncton Area People Arrested In Relation To ATV Theft

Three people from the Moncton area have been arrested and two are facing charges in relation to the theft of an ATV over the weekend.

Sunday night, the ATV was stolen from outside a bar in Neguac – after an investigation, and with help from the public, police identified and found the suspects in Allardville a short time later.

Two men and a woman were arrested that night and the stolen ATV was recovered.

43-year old Kevin Gionet of Lakeburn, and 42-year old Steven Légère of Moncton are each charged with possession of stolen property over five thousand dollars, and breaching probation.

Légère has pleaded guilty to the charges, and will remain in jail until his sentencing February 21st.

Gionet will stay in prison until his next court appearance on January 28th to make a plea.

A 38-year old Moncton woman was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date on charges relating to the incident.
