Another Snow Day For Students In Anglophone East And Parts Of Francophone South

Bad road conditions have forced the closures of schools for another day.

Students in Anglophone East and most schools in Francophone South have the days off again today. Francophone South Schools in Fredericton, Miramichi, Oromocto, Richibucto, Rogersville, Baie-Sainte-Anne and Saint-Louis-de-Kent are open.

Motorists should give themselves some extra time to get where they are going, because roads are snow covered and there is a lot of ice underneath.

Last night, there were reports of cars sliding down off ramps on icy roads.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure crews continue to work to clear roads across the province, ut they say it could take a couple of days to completely clean and clear some provincial highways.

Check New Brunswick 511 before heading out.
