Remaining Board Members For 2021 Francophonie Games Issue Statement

A statement has been released by the six remaining members of the Board of the National Organizing Committee of the 2021 Francophonie Games

They are pleased with a report from a group of accounting experts hired by the federal government, that confirmed the work done by the committee.

They add that they they have total confidence and trust in the current team, and for the work that was done to develop a business plan.

The board says they are aware of the financial and economic challenges the province is facing, and they are encouraging their funding partners to negotiate to come up with the best solution possible.

The original cost of the Moncton-Dieppe bid for the games had been $17 million but the business plan jumped recently to $130 million.
