A simple scratch, turned into a big win for a couple from Middleton, Nova Scotia.
Almost a year after Sheri Wood was diagnosed with breast cancer, she purchases a Set for Life ticket and scratched it with her husband Stacy, and they won the top prize.
Sheri, has almost finished her treatments and she is cancer free.
The couple chose the lump sum payment of $675, 000.
Stacy says with this win, they are looking forward to the next chapter in their lives.
He is a 29 year veteran with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and plans to retire.
The couple are big classic car enthusiasts, and plan to purchase an old hot rod to customize. They’ll also build a garage big enough to work on it.
