Liberal Leader Brian Gallant To Attempt To Move Forward On ‘Vote By Vote Basis’

It was shortly after 11 o’clock when Liberal leader Brian Gallant took the stage at his headquarters in Grand Digue school to speak about the next steps.

He is very proud of their candidates, and the platform they put forward, adding he will accept what New Brunswickers have said.

“We heard the message loud and clear, New Brunswickers have sent third parties into the legislature in a way they haven’t done before,” says Gallant.

“They want us to work collaboratively as political parties to get things done, to help improve the quality of life of the people of our province,” continues Gallant.

He added the Liberals will continue to try to govern on a case by case and vote by vote basis.

“The Lieutenant Governor and I will discuss the possibility of doing this, and like I mentioned, if at any point I am not able to do a case by case, vote by vote governance, then we will see the Westminster system in action,” says Gallant.

Gallant reiterated his determination to not make a formal partnership with the People’s Alliance of New Brunswick party, saying they did not share fundamental values.
